2005 Overnighter

A VERY short time after the Company section camp our Junior Section overnight was held. We spent the night sleeping in the Church Hall, as we have done over the last few years. 9 boys and 2 staff braved the night where we played games and watched films until supper, fish and chips from a local chippy. Then we settled down for the night, or so we thought. The last boy fell asleep at around 1 am and it felt like we had NO SLEEP at all as the first surfaced at 5:30am; everyone was awake by just after 6.

After tidying, washing and dressing breakfast was taken at 7:15am. Cereals, toast, tea or coffee, bacon, fruit juice and for once a semi quiet time. Then back to playing games, noisy games, very noisy games until at LAST we welcomed parents back to collect their little darlings at 10 am...only 16 hrs but it felt like forever!!.... Roll on next year

So what are our hopes for the coming session? As always the opportunity to share the good news get to know them a little better, for them to understand us a little better and to continue to witness to both the boys and their families alike. Continue to pray for our work, our continued sanity and extra strength and patience...
